Tehran is willing to resume nuclear talks with Washington provided that it is handled with "respect" and "respect", Tehran's foreign minister has announced.

Abbas Araghchi said solely negotiations was effective, and disclosed new appeals had originated from mediators to restart discussions with the Trump administration. He claimed Iran possessed no secret atomic facilities, and Iran could not yet permit the International Atomic Energy Agency to access attacked atomic facilities for security reasons.

Navigating a Challenging Course

Prior Discussions Abruptly Concluded

The previous five rounds of talks between the US and Iran were ended suddenly and hostile conclusion on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, struck Iranian nuclear sites in a 12-day war that culminated with the American leader claiming the locations had been obliterated. Following this, European countries used their privilege to reimpose global restrictions, but Iran insists they have not had a substantial consequence.

Ideal Resolution Suggested

Tehran representatives stated they felt they had reached a "ideal resolution" to the uranium processing matter in previous talks, when it was decided an local partnership with American involvement could refine atomic fuel. Each party would have been able to declare success since local refinement would have remained and the US could be certain that Iran's nuclear programme was entirely non-military.

It had not been settled in the negotiations that Washington's technical specialists could function on Iranian soil, but that was a natural consequence of the consortium proposal. Officials asserted three times they had reached agreement with Washington's diplomat the American negotiator only for the deal to collapse due to "detractors in America".

Current Situation

Restoration and Rebuilding

In what is characterized by Iranian officials as the conflict of repair and rebuilding, Araghchi said he was assured Iran's military capacities "are considerably enhanced than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been restored. We learned multiple understandings from this engagement; we have come to know our internal vulnerabilities and the weaknesses of the opponent."

He stated: "We successfully passed this conflict. Our enrichment knowledge, which they intended to obliterate, stays intact. The facilities and equipment, if destroyed, will be reconstructed; what is important is the resolve of the nation of Iran and then the social solidarity that they targeted, but did not succeed to shatter. The citizens of Tehran have become stronger, more cohesive, and more supportive of the government and the nation in the aftermath of this invasion."
